Best Social Media Tools for Agencies in 2026: Ranked by Agency Fit

Cloud Campaign scores 3.90/5 on our agency-fit methodology across 11 tools. Approval and white-label costs range from $85/mo to $399/user/mo. PostMonk is $99 once.

by Subhana Bintay Azam | 24 August 2026

Cloud Campaign is the best social media management tool for agencies in 2026, scoring 3.90 out of 5 on our agency-fit methodology. I scored 11 tools on two layers: a global overall score, then an agency re-weight with decisive client-workspace and approval factors. Sprout Social holds the highest global score at 3.9 out of 5, but Cloud Campaign wins on agency fit.

Agency-grade means client approval plus white-label reporting. That combination costs $85 per month on SocialPilot and $399 per user per month on Hootsuite. PostMonk, which we built, ranks fifth and is the only one-time purchase here at $99.

Disclosure: PostMonk publishes this article and appears in the ranking at position five, scored by the same rubric as every other tool. We rate all 11 tools on seven weighted categories, then re-weight those ratings for agency work. The agency re-weight adds two scored factors the base categories do not isolate: client workspaces with multi-brand roles, and approval workflows with white-label reporting. The methodology section below links the full scoring criteria.

The 11 Best Social Media Tools for Agencies at a Glance

These are the 11 tools ranked by their agency-fit composite, highest first, with the single reason each earns its place.

  1. Cloud Campaign (3.90 agency fit) Purpose-built agency platform with approval workflows on every plan, starting at $49/mo, and true per-client workspace isolation.
  2. Sprout Social (3.79 agency fit) Deepest analytics and reporting in this list, at the steepest per-seat price.
  3. Planable (3.72 agency fit) Best client-approval experience here, with per-workspace pricing that covers unlimited users.
  4. SocialPilot (3.70 agency fit) Cheapest bundle of client approval plus white-label reporting, at $85/mo billed annually.
  5. PostMonk (3.67 agency fit) The only lifetime-priced option, at $99 one-time for the Agency plan, with BYOK AI and a native MCP server. We built this.
  6. Sendible (3.52 agency fit) Multi-brand publishing with approval from the second tier and a white-label client portal on Elite.
  7. Hootsuite (3.47 agency fit) Most-recognized enterprise brand, with approval workflows gated to Advanced at $399/user/mo.
  8. Agorapulse (3.38 agency fit) Best unified social inbox for comment and DM moderation across client brands.
  9. Buffer (3.32 agency fit) Per-channel pricing that scales cleanly with client count, plus an MCP server on every plan.
  10. SocialBee (3.31 agency fit) Category-based evergreen scheduling, with approval from $49/mo and 5 client workspaces on Pro.
  11. Loomly (3.07 agency fit) Workable for very small agencies on Starter, with a $200/mo cliff to reach white-label on Beyond.

What Agencies Actually Need in a Social Media Tool

Running social media for multiple clients demands a different feature set than managing one brand. Seven requirements separate agency-capable tools from general-purpose schedulers.

  • Client workspace isolation: Each client needs a sealed environment with its own calendar, analytics, and access controls. Tools that pool every account into one workspace risk data bleed between clients.
  • Approval workflow accessibility: The question is not whether approval exists, but which tier it starts on. Approval gated to a $399 seat means most agencies never use it.
  • White-label reporting: Branded PDF reports or a custom-domain dashboard let agencies deliver results under their own logo. Availability swings from every plan to Enterprise-only.
  • Multi-seat team management: Role-based access, meaning Owner, Editor, and Client Viewer, stops clients publishing without sign-off and limits what each person can see.
  • Publishing volume and network breadth: An agency running 20 clients across five networks needs account caps that survive growth without a plan upgrade every quarter.
  • Analytics and reporting depth: Proving return to clients needs platform-level engagement data and, ideally, Google Analytics revenue attribution.
  • Pricing model fit: Per-seat, per-channel, per-workspace, and one-time models each favour a different agency size. A $199 seat becomes $995/mo for a five-person team before a single client invoice.

How We Chose These Tools

Every tool carries two scores. Layer 1 is the global overall from our seven-category rubric, covering scheduling, channels, content creation, analytics, ease of use, pricing, and support. Layer 2 re-weights those same ratings for agency work. It raises analytics to 16 percent and ease of use to 12 percent. It then adds two decisive scored factors: client workspaces with multi-brand roles at 16 percent, and approval workflows with white-label reporting at 14 percent. Read the full criteria in our how we review social media management tools methodology page.

Products are ranked by the Layer-2 agency-fit composite, not by brand recognition or how often a name appears in other roundups. A tool scoring below 3.0 on either decisive factor cannot take the top spot. Cloud Campaign scores 4.5 on both, so it clears that gate.

Two limits are worth stating plainly. Cloud Campaign has no PostMonk product review and no G2 or Capterra listing I could reach. Its Layer-1 score of 3.6 is therefore an estimate from its live product and pricing pages, not a full review. Every other Layer-1 score matches that tool’s own PostMonk review exactly.

How the Top Agency Social Media Tools Compare

For a broader view of tools beyond agency workflows, see the best social media management tools guide. The table below covers the three things that decide an agency purchase. Those are the approval tier, the white-label tier, and what the agency-grade bundle actually costs.

All prices verified 8 August 2026. Agency-fit composites are shown to two decimals because eight of the 11 sit within a tenth of another tool.

What Changed in 2026 That Other Roundups Still Get Wrong

Six of these tools restructured pricing or feature gating in the past year. Most agency roundups still ranking for this query have not caught up. These are the corrections I made against live pricing pages on 8 August 2026.

  • Hootsuite approval is no longer Enterprise-only. Content review and approval now sits on Advanced at $399/user/mo. Roundups still calling it Enterprise-only are stale.
  • Sendible renamed every plan. The tiers are now Core, Plus, Premium, Elite, and Enterprise. Approval starts at Plus, the second tier, not at the old Advanced plan.
  • Agorapulse opened up approval. One-step approval now starts on Professional. Only multi-step, sequential approval still requires Custom pricing.
  • Buffer cut per-channel pricing. The live rates are $5 and $10 per channel per month. Several comparison pages, including Buffer’s own, still quote $6 and $12.
  • Planable cut its add-on prices. Analytics dropped to $12 per workspace per month and the social inbox to $7.50, so a fully loaded Pro workspace is $68.50, not $72.
  • Loomly removed its middle tiers. After the Bending Spoons acquisition, only Starter and Beyond remain, leaving a $200/mo gap where Standard and Advanced used to sit.

Cloud Campaign: Best Agency-First Social Media Platform

Cloud Campaign scores 3.90 out of 5 on agency fit, the highest here, against a 3.6 global overall. It is the only tool in this list that treats client workspaces as the core product architecture rather than an upgrade. Approval workflows run on the $49/mo Freelancer plan, the cheapest approval access in this comparison.

Key Agency Features

Cloud Campaign’s agency capabilities appear at the entry tier instead of behind a plan jump.

  • Client workspaces from $49/mo: Each workspace is an isolated client environment with its own calendar, analytics, and user access. Extra workspaces cost $49/mo on Freelancer, $29/mo on Team, and $35/mo on Agency.
  • Approval workflows on every plan: Clients approve content with a single click from a shared calendar view, with no access to the agency’s account.
  • White-label dashboards: Standard white-labeling starts on Team at $199/mo. Advanced white-labeling, including a custom domain, requires Agency at $299/mo.
  • Unlimited users on all tiers: There are no per-seat fees. Staff and clients both use the platform without changing the monthly bill.
  • AI tooling included: CaptionAI, ImageAI, and an AI social inbox ship with the product. CloudStudio content creation is a separate add-on from $99/mo per workspace.
  • Native and extended integrations: Canva, Google Drive, and RSS connect natively, with roughly 7,000 further apps through Zapier.

Pros

Cloud Campaign earns its top agency-fit score by removing the two frictions that cost agencies the most.

  • Approval workflows on the cheapest paid plan, rather than on a $199 or $399 tier
  • True per-client workspace isolation, which prevents calendar and data bleed between accounts
  • Unlimited users on every plan, so headcount growth does not raise the bill
  • White-label dashboards from $199/mo, well below the tier Hootsuite charges for comparable reporting
  • A 14-day free trial

Cons

Cloud Campaign’s agency focus costs it breadth that broader platforms carry.

  • Seven networks confirmed on its own pages: Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, TikTok, Pinterest, and YouTube. Threads and Bluesky are not listed.
  • No social listening or competitor benchmarking at standard tiers
  • Advanced white-label needs Agency at $299/mo, since Team carries standard white-labeling only
  • No G2 or Capterra listing I could verify, so there is no independent satisfaction data to check

Pricing

Cloud Campaign charges per workspace rather than per seat, which is the pricing shape agencies benefit from most. Full rates are on the Cloud Campaign pricing page.

Plan Monthly Annual (per mo) Workspaces Social accounts per client Users
Freelancer $49/mo $41/mo 1+ 7 Unlimited
Team $199/mo $165/mo 5+ Unlimited Unlimited
Agency $299/mo $249/mo 5+ Unlimited Unlimited

Every plan includes unlimited users and approval workflows. White-label begins on Team. The free trial runs 14 days.

What Users Say

Cloud Campaign carries no G2 or Capterra listing I could reach during this review, so there is no aggregate user rating to report. The market signal is still strong. It ranks second organically for the query “white label social media management software”. Google’s August 2026 AI Overview for agency software names it for “automated content recycling, white-labeled client dashboards, and streamlined client sign-off”. Agencies that need verified peer reviews before buying should weigh that absence.

Sprout Social: Best for Enterprise Agencies Prioritizing Analytics

Sprout Social scores 3.79 on agency fit and 3.9 globally, the highest global score in this list. Its analytics and reporting rate 4.5 out of 5 in our review, ahead of every other tool here. The trade-off is per-seat pricing that climbs faster than any competitor’s.

Key Agency Features

Sprout Social’s agency value sits in reporting depth and client-scoped organisation rather than workspace architecture.

  • Custom Groups for client separation: Agencies group social profiles by client, with scoped access and separate reporting views.
  • Approval and collaboration from Standard: The $199/seat/mo Standard plan adds the consolidated inbox and the collaboration tools agencies use for internal and client review.
  • Presentation-ready reporting: Standard exports client-ready reports. Branded, white-labeled output needs the Premium Analytics add-on on top.
  • Social listening across 150 million sources: Sentiment, brand mentions, and industry conversation tracking, sold as a paid add-on rather than bundled.
  • Business system integrations: Salesforce, HubSpot, Google Analytics, and Tableau connect for cross-channel attribution.
  • Eleven networks plus two messaging apps: The widest first-party coverage in this list, alongside Buffer and Agorapulse.

Pros

Sprout Social is the right call when clients pay for data and the agency can carry per-seat cost.

  • The deepest analytics scored here, rating 4.5 out of 5 against Buffer’s 2.5
  • Approval and collaboration available from Standard rather than an enterprise contract
  • A 30-day free trial, the longest in this comparison alongside Agorapulse
  • Salesforce and HubSpot integrations that connect social activity to pipeline for enterprise clients

Cons

Sprout Social’s pricing model punishes agencies that need seats before they have the revenue to fund them.

  • Standard starts at $199/seat/mo, so a five-person team costs $995/mo before add-ons
  • Only 5 social profiles on Standard; unlimited profiles need Professional at $299/seat/mo
  • No public API below Advanced at $399/seat/mo, which blocks automation-heavy agencies
  • White-label reporting requires the Premium Analytics add-on stacked on an already expensive base plan
  • Pricing and value scores 2.0 out of 5 in our review, the second-lowest here after Loomly

Pricing

Sprout Social bills per seat, and every tier above Essentials is annual-only. Current rates are on the Sprout Social pricing page.

Plan Annual rate Monthly rate Social profiles Key agency feature
Essentials $79/seat/mo $99/seat/mo 5 Basic publishing and reporting
Standard $199/seat/mo Not offered 5 Approval, collaboration, consolidated inbox
Professional $299/seat/mo Not offered Unlimited Competitor analytics, message tagging
Advanced $399/seat/mo Not offered Unlimited AI Assist, Sprout API
Enterprise Custom Not offered Unlimited SSO, compliance, full listening

The free trial runs 30 days. Premium Analytics, Listening, and Employee Advocacy are all priced separately.

What Users Say

G2 reviewers rate Sprout Social 4.4 out of 5 across 6,870 reviews as of August 2026. One r/SocialMediaMarketing thread frames the trade-off, calling Sprout Social “great for analytics, reporting, and team collaboration, but pricier and less efficient for bulk scheduling”. That matches what the scorecard shows, with analytics at 4.5 and pricing at 2.0.

Read the full Sprout Social review for the complete scorecard. See the head-to-head in PostMonk vs. Sprout Social, or browse Sprout Social alternatives if per-seat pricing does not fit your model.

Planable: Best for Client Approval Workflows and Collaboration

Planable scores 3.72 on agency fit against a 3.6 global overall, and it is the only tool here built entirely around client approval. Every plan includes approval, including the $33/workspace/mo Basic tier. Its ease of use rates 4.5 out of 5, tied with Buffer and Loomly for the best in this list.

Key Agency Features

Planable’s architecture starts from the approval use case, which is why the workflow feels lighter than tools that bolted approval on later.

  • Approval on every plan, including Basic: Clients approve posts on visual mockups that render as the live post will, without touching the agency’s account.
  • Per-workspace pricing with unlimited users: One workspace equals one client. The whole agency team plus the client collaborate inside it at no per-seat cost.
  • External review links: Clients without a Planable account can view, comment, and approve through a shared link.
  • Nine networks with deep format support: Reels, Stories, carousels, and LinkedIn PDF documents all render in preview before publishing.
  • Post caps by tier: Basic allows 60 posts per workspace per month and Pro allows 150. High-volume clients hit these limits quickly.
  • MCP connector on every paid plan: Draft-only, with no bring-your-own-key support, but present.

Pros

Planable is the strongest pick when client sign-off is the workflow that decides your month.

  • Approval on all plans, so no agency has to change tier to get clients reviewing content
  • Unlimited users per workspace, which removes per-seat friction on collaboration-heavy accounts
  • 4.6 out of 5 on G2 across roughly 1,063 reviews, and 4.7 out of 5 for ease of use on Capterra
  • The best visual preview in this category, which cuts the “that is not how it will look” round trip

Cons

Planable’s approval focus comes at the direct cost of analytics and reach.

  • Analytics is an add-on at $12 per workspace per month, and it excludes X, Pinterest, and Threads
  • The social inbox is a second add-on at $7.50 per workspace per month
  • A fully loaded Pro workspace costs $68.50 per month, not $49
  • Multi-level sequential approval, where each reviewer signs off in order, requires Enterprise
  • White-label is not listed on Basic or Pro, so branded client-facing delivery means an Enterprise quote
  • Analytics rates 2.5 out of 5 in our review, alongside Buffer as the weakest here

Pricing

Planable bills per workspace, so cost tracks client count rather than headcount. Current rates are on the Planable pricing page.

Plan Per workspace/mo Posts per workspace Social pages Users Approval
Basic $33 60 4 Unlimited Optional
Pro $49 150 10 Unlimited Optional or required
Enterprise Custom Unlimited Unlimited Unlimited Multi-level

Add-ons cost $12 per workspace per month for analytics and $7.50 for the social inbox. The free plan covers the first 50 posts with no time limit and no card.

What Users Say

G2 reviewers rate Planable 4.6 out of 5 across roughly 1,063 reviews. Agency demand shows up in the search results too. The top organic answer for “client approval workflow social media tool” is an r/SocialMediaMarketing thread. Its author describes using Planable so clients approve a whole month’s calendar at once. Google’s August 2026 AI Overview names Planable first for “visual content approval pipelines.”

Read the full Planable review for the complete assessment. Compare the two directly in PostMonk vs. Planable, or see Planable alternatives if the analytics gap rules it out.

SocialPilot: Best Value Agency Tool for Mid-Size Teams

SocialPilot scores 3.70 on agency fit against a 3.6 global overall. Its Premium plan at $85/mo billed annually carries white-label reporting, a client approval portal, unlimited client seats, and 20 social accounts. No other tool here delivers that combination at that price.

Key Agency Features

SocialPilot concentrates its agency features on Premium and above, which makes the tier choice simple.

  • Client approval portal on Premium: Clients review and approve posts in a dedicated portal without touching the main account.
  • White-label reports on Premium: Branded performance reports go out under the agency’s logo from the $85/mo annual tier.
  • Unlimited client seats on Premium: Clients get their own approval view at no per-seat charge.
  • Ten networks: Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, Threads, YouTube, Pinterest, Google Business Profile, and Bluesky.
  • Advanced white-label on Ultimate: The $170/mo annual tier adds a custom domain and deeper branding for agencies reselling the platform.
  • Bulk scheduling with CSV import: Up to 500 posts per import, which suits high-volume evergreen client work.

Pros

SocialPilot is the most practical choice for agencies that want white-label and approval without enterprise pricing.

  • White-label and client approval both land on Premium at $85/mo annually, the cheapest agency bundle in this list
  • Google Business Profile support, which most tools in this price band skip
  • Unlimited client seats on Premium, so client access never adds to the bill
  • Pricing and value rates 4.0 out of 5 in our review, the second-highest here after PostMonk
  • A 14-day free trial with no card required

Cons

SocialPilot’s lower tiers strip out the agency features, so there is no gradual upgrade path.

  • Standard at $34/mo annual has no client approval; the pricing page lists approval starting at Premium
  • Advanced white-label needs Ultimate at $170/mo annual, doubling the Premium price
  • Analytics rate 3.0 out of 5: no social listening, no sentiment analysis, and no revenue attribution
  • Support and reputation rate 3.0 out of 5, the joint-lowest here alongside Loomly

Pricing

SocialPilot publishes flat plan pricing with no per-seat charge, and the annual saving is roughly 15 percent. Current rates are on the SocialPilot pricing page.

Plan Monthly Annual (per mo) Accounts Users Client seats Approval White-label
Essentials $20 $17 5 1 No No No
Standard $40 $34 10 3 No No No
Premium $100 $85 20 6 Unlimited Yes Standard
Ultimate $200 $170 40 Unlimited Unlimited Yes Advanced

The free trial runs 14 days with no card. Approval workflows appear first at Premium, not Standard.

What Users Say

G2 reviewers rate SocialPilot 4.5 out of 5 and Capterra reviewers rate it 4.7. I could not confirm the current G2 review count this session. Agency positioning shows in the results too. SocialPilot takes the top slot on the DesignRush ranking of white-label social media management services, a page-one result for that query.

Read the full SocialPilot review for the complete scorecard. Compare feature by feature at PostMonk vs. SocialPilot, or see SocialPilot alternatives for other options in the same price band.

PostMonk: Best Agency Tool With Lifetime Pricing and BYOK AI

We built PostMonk. This section covers our own product. PostMonk scores 3.67 on agency fit and 3.7 globally, placing it fifth here. It is the only tool in this list with a one-time price rather than a subscription. The Agency plan at $99 one-time carries a client approval portal, white-labeled PDF reports, and a custom domain. It also includes a native MCP server and bring-your-own-key AI across five providers.

Key Agency Features

PostMonk’s agency features sit on the Agency plan at $99, with approval workflows starting one tier lower on Pro at $59.

  • Lifetime pricing: Pay once and keep the plan. There are no monthly fees, per-seat charges, or renewals. Three years of Hootsuite Standard for one user costs $3,564; PostMonk Agency costs $99.
  • Client approval portal on Agency: Clients review, approve, or reject scheduled content in a dedicated portal without entering the main workspace.
  • White-labeled PDF reports on Agency: Performance reports carry the agency’s brand, and custom-domain white-labeling is included.
  • BYOK AI across five providers: Connect your own keys for OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, DeepSeek, or OpenRouter. There is no per-credit markup once the plan is bought.
  • Native MCP server on Pro and Agency: AI agents schedule posts, manage queues, and move content through approval over the Model Context Protocol. For the wider AI picture, see our guide to the best AI social media tools.
  • 25 Brand Assets on Agency: Each Brand Asset is a sealed client workspace with its own calendar, analytics, and team access, supporting 100 social accounts and 10 team seats.

Pros

PostMonk’s strongest arguments are economic and architectural rather than feature-count.

  • One-time pricing removes recurring cost entirely, which is why pricing and value rates 5.0 out of 5, the highest score any tool earns in any category here
  • BYOK AI on every paid plan, so the agency picks the model and pays the provider directly
  • A native MCP server with full write access, which no other tool in this list offers at this depth
  • Nine networks with auto-publish: Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Threads, and Bluesky
  • A 7-day free trial and a 30-day money-back guarantee after activation

Cons

PostMonk’s limits are real and should shape any agency evaluation.

  • Support and reputation rates 2.0 out of 5, the lowest score in this list, because there are no verified third-party reviews yet
  • No G2 or Capterra listing, so an agency cannot check peer evidence before buying
  • Competitor benchmarking is on the roadmap rather than shipped, so agencies needing competitive intelligence require a second tool
  • Nine networks is fewer than Sprout Social, Buffer, and Agorapulse at 11 each, and fewer than Hootsuite, SocialPilot, and SocialBee at 10 each
  • Analytics rate 3.5 out of 5 with no social listening, so enterprise-grade reporting clients are a poor fit

Pricing

PostMonk charges once per workspace tier, with no renewal and no per-seat cost.

Plan Price Brand Assets Social accounts Team seats Key agency features
Starter $29 one-time 1 10 3 Scheduling, AI captions, basic analytics
Pro $59 one-time 5 50 7 Approval workflows, MCP server, REST API, BYOK AI
Agency $99 one-time 25 100 10 Client portal, white-labeled PDF reports, custom domain

The trial runs 7 days with no card, backed by a 30-day money-back guarantee after activation. Agencies weighing one-time purchases against subscriptions can compare the field in our guide to the best lifetime social media deals.

What Users Say

PostMonk has no G2 or Capterra listing at the time of this review, and there are no verified third-party ratings to report. That is the honest position for a recently launched product, and it is exactly why support and reputation scores 2.0 out of 5. The 7-day trial and the 30-day money-back guarantee are the only purchase protections on offer.

Sendible: Best UK-Based White-Label Agency Platform

Sendible scores 3.52 on agency fit against a 3.3 global overall. It is an agency-first tool with nine networks, explicit per-tier workspace counts, and approval workflows from the second plan. White-label runs as a paid add-on on Elite and Enterprise. Billing practice and Instagram reliability are the two concerns agencies should test during the trial.

Key Agency Features

Sendible’s strength is multi-brand publishing with client and team management that scales by tier.

  • Approval workflows from Plus: Assignment and approval sit on the second tier, which covers 3 workspaces and 18 profiles. That is far more accessible than older comparisons suggest.
  • Workspace counts published per tier: Plans run from 1 workspace on Core to 50 on Enterprise, with profile limits from 6 to 300.
  • White-label add-on on Elite and Enterprise: Clients log into a branded portal on the agency’s domain. Sendible does not publish the add-on price on its live pricing page.
  • Nine networks: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, YouTube, Google Business Profile, Threads, and Bluesky. Pinterest is not supported.
  • Content libraries from Premium: Central asset storage for multi-brand content, which cuts duplicate uploads across clients.
  • Bulk scheduling and RSS automation: Useful for news-driven and high-frequency client accounts.

Pros

Sendible covers the core agency workflow at a lower entry price than most enterprise-positioned tools.

  • Approval from the second tier, so agencies do not jump to the top plan for basic client sign-off
  • Explicit workspace counts on every tier, which makes capacity planning straightforward
  • Ease of use rates 4.0 out of 5, and it is the single most consistent theme across 905 G2 reviews
  • Analytics rate 3.5 out of 5, ahead of Buffer, Planable, SocialPilot, and SocialBee
  • A 14-day free trial with no card, and roughly 15 percent off on annual billing

Cons

Two credibility issues and one pricing gap stand out for agencies evaluating Sendible.

  • An r/SocialMediaMarketing thread reports Sendible moving a user to a higher-cost plan without consent. Confirm the current billing policy before you sign up.
  • Instagram post failures recur across Reddit and Capterra reports, and reauthorisation failures are the most-cited complaint in its G2 corpus.
  • White-label needs Elite plus a paid add-on, and Sendible does not publish either price. The dynamic pricing page returned no USD figures during this review.
  • Plan names changed to Core, Plus, Premium, Elite, and Enterprise. Screenshots and comparisons showing Creator, Scale, or Advanced are out of date.
  • Channels and integrations rate 3.0 out of 5, held down by the missing Pinterest support.

Pricing

Sendible’s live pricing page renders prices dynamically and returned no USD figures during this review. The plan structure below is confirmed; the rates are not. Check the Sendible pricing page for current numbers.

Plan Workspaces Profiles Users Approval workflows White-label
Core 1 6 Unlimited No No
Plus 3 18 Unlimited Yes No
Premium 7 42 Unlimited Yes, plus custom reports No
Elite 15 90 Unlimited Yes, plus advanced permissions Paid add-on
Enterprise 50 300 Unlimited Yes, plus SSO Paid add-on

The free trial runs 14 days with no card. Annual billing saves roughly 15 percent.

What Users Say

G2 reviewers rate Sendible 4.5 out of 5 across 905 reviews, and Capterra reviewers rate it 4.6 across 137. Ease of use is the most-praised attribute in both corpora. The billing and Instagram concerns above come from Reddit and Capterra reports, not the aggregate scores. Check recent reviews before committing a client roster.

Read the full Sendible review for the complete assessment. Compare the two at PostMonk vs. Sendible, or see Sendible alternatives if the pricing opacity is a blocker.

Hootsuite: Best-Known Enterprise Option for Large Agencies

Hootsuite scores 3.47 on agency fit against a 3.6 global overall. Its channels and integrations rate 4.5 out of 5, the highest in this list. The limitation for most agencies is cost: approval workflows sit on Advanced at $399/user/mo billed annually, and every seat carries that rate.

Key Agency Features

Hootsuite’s agency-relevant capability is strong at the top of the plan ladder and expensive to reach.

  • Approval workflows on Advanced: Content review and approval sits on Advanced at $399/user/mo, not Enterprise. Roundups still calling it Enterprise-only are working from stale data.
  • Talkwalker social listening on Enterprise: More than 150 million sites and 30-plus networks, the deepest listening reach available inside a scheduling platform.
  • Multi-client dashboard: Multiple client accounts run from one workspace with scoped team access, though without true per-client isolation.
  • Custom reports from Professional: Branded exports with logo, colour scheme, and custom layouts start at $199/user/mo. Full white-label branding is not documented on the pricing page.
  • Ten native networks: Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, Threads, Pinterest, WhatsApp, and Bluesky.
  • Enterprise governance: SSO, audit logs, and compliance controls for regulated client industries.

Pros

Hootsuite is the default for large agencies with enterprise budgets and compliance obligations.

  • The most recognised brand in the category, which shortens the procurement conversation with enterprise clients
  • Named G2’s number one Best Software Product for 2026, a credible third-party signal
  • Approval on Advanced rather than Enterprise, which widens the addressable agency use case
  • Talkwalker listening is the strongest reputation-monitoring option here for agencies managing brand risk
  • Channels and integrations rate 4.5 out of 5, the best coverage score in this list

Cons

Hootsuite’s per-user model makes it hard to justify below enterprise scale.

  • Standard at $99/user/mo and Professional at $199/user/mo carry no approval workflows at all
  • A five-person team on Advanced costs $1,995/mo, which exceeds many agencies’ monthly fee for a junior social client
  • Enterprise contracts run a one-year auto-renewing term with 60-day cancellation notice and a price-increase clause on renewal
  • One r/SocialMediaMarketing user described leaving after Hootsuite was “removing our current plan and trying to get us to upgrade at a higher cost.”
  • Pricing and value rates 2.0 out of 5, and support and reputation rates 2.5 out of 5, the lowest support score among the established tools

Pricing

Hootsuite prices per user, so agency cost scales with headcount rather than client count. Current rates are on the Hootsuite plans page.

Plan Annual rate Social accounts Users Approval workflows
Standard $99/user/mo 10 1+ No
Professional $199/user/mo Unlimited 1+ No
Advanced $399/user/mo Unlimited 1+ Yes
Enterprise Custom Unlimited Custom Yes, advanced

What Users Say

G2 reviewers rate Hootsuite 4.3 out of 5 across 7,803 reviews, and Capterra reviewers rate it 4.4 across 3,799. Trustpilot tells a different story at 1.3 out of 5 across 554 reviews, dominated by billing and cancellation complaints. That split is the pattern to weigh. Daily users rate the product well, and people trying to cancel a contract rate the company badly.

Agorapulse: Best Social Inbox for High-Volume Agency Comment Management

Agorapulse scores 3.38 on agency fit against a 3.5 global overall. Its social inbox is the most capable here. It handles organic comments, mentions, DMs, and ad comments across client brands in one moderated queue. The constraint is a hard 10-profile ceiling on every published plan.

Key Agency Features

Agorapulse earns its place through inbox management and revenue attribution rather than workspace design.

  • Unified inbox across clients: Comments, mentions, and DMs from every connected account route into one queue for assignment, snoozing, or dismissal, from Standard upward.
  • One-step approval from Professional: Basic approval sits on Professional at $119/mo annual. Multi-step sequential approval still requires Custom pricing.
  • Report branding on all plans: Branded performance reports are available from Standard, which is rare at an entry tier.
  • Google Analytics 4 attribution: Automatic UTM tagging connects social posts to site leads and revenue, with full ROI analysis on Advanced.
  • Open reports API and an MCP server: Useful for agencies building custom client dashboards.
  • Eleven networks: Broad coverage, though Reddit is listening-only rather than publish-capable.

Pros

Agorapulse is the right call when moderating high-volume client inboxes is the core daily job.

  • The strongest social inbox in this list, including ad comments alongside organic engagement
  • Google Analytics attribution that links social activity to business outcomes, unusual at this price
  • Branded reports from the entry tier rather than a mid or top plan
  • Ease of use rates 4.0 out of 5, with strong onboarding resources
  • A 30-day free trial with no card

Cons

Agorapulse’s profile ceiling and approval gating limit its agency reach.

  • Standard, Professional, and Advanced all cap at 10 social profiles, so a five-client agency running three accounts each is already at the limit
  • Multi-step approval requires Custom pricing, which leaves structured multi-reviewer sign-off unquantifiable until you talk to sales
  • An r/SocialMediaMarketing user described the outcome plainly: “once we added more accounts the pricing started to climb pretty fast.”
  • Pricing and value rates 2.5 out of 5, held down by per-seat billing on a fixed profile ceiling plus six quote-only add-ons
  • A documented silent-failure pattern on scheduled posts, which agencies should monitor during the trial

Pricing

Agorapulse’s published tiers all carry the same 10-profile cap, so agency scale usually means a Custom quote. Check the Agorapulse pricing page for current rates.

Plan Annual (per mo) Monthly Social profiles Approval workflows
Standard $79 $99 10 None
Professional $119 $149 10 One-step
Advanced $149 $199 10 One-step
Custom Custom Custom Unlimited Multi-step

Report branding is included on every plan. The free trial runs 30 days with no card.

What Users Say

G2 reviewers rate Agorapulse 4.5 out of 5 across 973 reviews, and Capterra reviewers rate it 4.6 across 713. Google’s August 2026 AI Overview for agency software names Agorapulse for its “unified social inbox to moderate DMs and comments across multiple client brands”. That matches both the review corpus and the scorecard.

Read the full Agorapulse review for the complete breakdown. Compare at PostMonk vs. Agorapulse, or see Agorapulse alternatives if the profile cap is the blocker.

Buffer: Best for Lean Agencies Running Creator-Style Operations

Buffer scores 3.32 on agency fit against a 3.5 global overall. Its per-channel pricing is the most transparent model here, and its ease of use rates 4.5 out of 5. The agency limitation is reporting: advanced analytics cover only 4 of Buffer’s 11 networks, and there is no white-label dashboard.

Key Agency Features

Buffer’s agency strength is economic and architectural simplicity rather than client-management depth.

  • Per-channel pricing on Team: Channels cost $10 each per month, and channels above the tenth bill at a reduced rate, so cost tracks the client roster directly.
  • Approval workflows on Team: Editors submit and managers approve before publishing. The flow is single-step, without multi-level routing.
  • Unlimited team members on Team: Staff and freelancers join at no incremental cost once you are on the Team rate.
  • Branded reports on Team: Logo and cover-page branding, which covers many lean-agency client decks without a full white-label portal.
  • MCP server and GraphQL API on every plan, including Free: Buffer’s developer story is the strongest of the subscription tools here.
  • Eleven networks: Broad publishing coverage, with the analytics caveat below.

Pros

Buffer suits lean agencies that value pricing clarity and developer access over reporting depth.

  • Per-channel pricing scales exactly with client count, so there is no paying for unused capacity
  • Unlimited users on Team, so team growth does not change the bill
  • An MCP server on free and paid plans, which makes agent-driven publishing testable at zero cost
  • Ease of use rates 4.5 out of 5, the joint-best here and the fastest onboarding in the category
  • A genuinely usable free plan covering 3 channels and 10 scheduled posts per channel

Cons

Buffer’s reporting limits are the reason it sits ninth on agency fit despite a strong global score.

  • Advanced analytics cover Facebook, Instagram, X, and LinkedIn Pages only. TikTok, YouTube, and Pinterest are publish-only.
  • No white-label dashboard at any tier, so clients cannot log into a branded portal
  • Essentials carries no approval workflows and one user, so any collaboration moves every channel to the Team rate
  • Analytics rate 2.5 out of 5, tied with Planable as the weakest here, with no social listening or competitor benchmarking
  • Agencies reporting on TikTok or YouTube performance need a second analytics tool

Pricing

Buffer bills per channel, and adding a single collaborator moves every channel to the Team rate. Current rates are on the Buffer pricing page.

Plan Monthly Annual Channels Users Approval workflows Branded reports
Free $0 $0 3 1 No No
Essentials $5/channel $60/channel/yr 1+ 1 No No
Team $10/channel $120/channel/yr 1+ Unlimited Yes Yes

Buffer’s own comparison pages still quote $6 and $12 per channel. The live pricing page is authoritative at $5 and $10. The free trial runs 14 days on paid plans.

What Users Say

G2 reviewers rate Buffer 4.3 out of 5 across 1,039 reviews, and Capterra reviewers rate it 4.5 across 1,492. The most consistent reliability complaint across both platforms is not that posts fail often, but that failures are silent. Agencies publishing to client accounts should build a manual verification step into the workflow.

Read the full Buffer review for the complete scorecard. Compare at PostMonk vs. Buffer, or see Buffer alternatives if the analytics ceiling is the problem.

SocialBee: Best for Content-Heavy Agencies Using Category Scheduling

SocialBee scores 3.31 on agency fit against a 3.3 global overall. Its category-based scheduling, which sorts posts into evergreen queues by topic type and cycles through them automatically, is the only architecture of its kind here. Pro at $99/mo gives agencies 5 isolated client workspaces, with approval available from $49/mo.

Key Agency Features

SocialBee suits agencies running high-volume evergreen content across several client accounts.

  • Category-based scheduling: Posts are assigned to topic categories such as educational, promotional, or curated, and SocialBee recycles them on a defined rotation.
  • Five workspaces on Pro: Each workspace is a separate client environment with its own calendar and analytics. Agency tiers extend this to 10, 20, or 30 workspaces.
  • Approval from Accelerate at $49/mo: Basic approval sits on the second-cheapest paid plan, with internal approval notes requiring Pro.
  • Branded PDF reports on Pro: Reports export with the agency’s logo. There is no client-facing white-label dashboard.
  • AI Copilot: Generates a full posting strategy from a prompt rather than only captions, which shortens new-client onboarding.
  • Ten publishing networks plus Universal Posting reminders: The social inbox covers 6 of those 10, excluding TikTok, Pinterest, Google Business Profile, and Bluesky.

Pros

SocialBee fits agencies whose clients need consistent evergreen output rather than campaign bursts.

  • Category scheduling removes the recurring work of rebuilding evergreen queues for each client
  • 4.7 out of 5 on G2 across 478 reviews, the highest satisfaction rating in this comparison
  • Five client workspaces on Pro at $99/mo, which covers most small and mid-size agency rosters
  • Approval workflows from $49/mo, without a jump to an expensive tier
  • Support and reputation rate 4.0 out of 5, among the strongest here

Cons

SocialBee lacks the client-facing polish larger agencies need.

  • No white-label dashboard. Branded PDF exports exist, but clients cannot log into a branded portal.
  • Bootstrap at $29/mo has no approval system, so agencies start at Accelerate
  • Analytics rate 3.0 out of 5 with no social listening, competitor benchmarking, or cross-channel attribution
  • Agency tiers add cost quickly, at roughly $149/mo for Pro50 and $274/mo for Pro100 on monthly billing
  • Ease of use rates 3.0 out of 5, the joint-lowest here alongside Hootsuite

Pricing

SocialBee’s published tiers cover solo and small-team use, with separate agency plans above them. Current rates are on the SocialBee pricing page.

Plan Monthly Annual (per mo) Profiles Users Workspaces Approval Branded reports
Bootstrap $29 $24.42 5 1 1 No No
Accelerate $49 $40.83 10 1 1 Yes No
Pro $99 $82.50 25 3 5 Yes Yes

Agency tiers run to roughly $149/mo for Pro50 with 10 workspaces, $274/mo for Pro100 with 20, and $374/mo for Pro150 with 30. The trial runs 14 days, with a 30-day money-back guarantee.

What Users Say

G2 reviewers rate SocialBee 4.7 out of 5 across 478 reviews, the highest rating in this list. The volume is far lower than Hootsuite’s 7,803 or Sprout Social’s 6,870. Read it as strong sentiment across a smaller base, not broad market validation. Category scheduling is the feature that draws consistent praise from content-heavy teams.

Read the full SocialBee review for the complete assessment. Compare at PostMonk vs. SocialBee, or see SocialBee alternatives if you need a white-label portal.

Loomly: Best Content Calendar for Small Agencies With Basic Approval Needs

Loomly scores 3.07 on agency fit and 3.0 globally, the lowest on both measures here. Starter at $49/mo annual works for a small agency running up to 3 users and 12 social accounts. The structure breaks the moment that agency grows, because nothing sits between Starter and Beyond at $249/mo annual.

Key Agency Features

Loomly splits its agency capability cleanly between a cheap basic tier and an expensive full one.

  • Basic approval on Starter: Draft, submit for approval, and approve. It is the simplest approval flow in this list, and adequate for short review cycles.
  • Custom roles and workflows on Beyond: Multi-level approval with configurable roles arrives only at $249/mo annual.
  • White-label and custom branding on Beyond: Client-facing branded delivery requires the most expensive publicly listed plan.
  • Unlimited calendars on both plans: Agencies can organise many low-volume clients on Starter without a tier change.
  • Social listening reports: One report per month on Starter and four on Beyond.
  • Eight networks confirmed: Loomly’s own pages name eight consistently, and X does not appear on any of them.

Pros

Loomly is a practical entry point for solo or two-person agencies with simple review cycles.

  • Basic approval from $49/mo annual, which is accessible for bootstrapped operations
  • A clean calendar interface that clients understand without training
  • Unlimited calendars on Starter, which suits agencies with many small accounts
  • Ease of use rates 4.5 out of 5, the joint-best score in this list
  • 4.6 out of 5 on G2 across 1,793 reviews and 4.7 on Capterra across 509

Cons

The post-acquisition pricing structure is Loomly’s defining limitation for agencies.

  • No tier between Starter at $49/mo and Beyond at $249/mo annual, a $200/mo cliff that forces agencies to stay small or overpay
  • White-label and custom branding are Beyond-only, so branded delivery costs five times the Starter price
  • X does not appear on any of Loomly’s current network pages, despite older comparisons listing it among nine networks
  • Channels and integrations rate 2.5 out of 5, the lowest coverage score here, with no REST API, webhooks, or MCP
  • Pricing and value rates 1.5 out of 5, the lowest score any tool receives in any category in this list

Pricing

Loomly publishes two tiers plus a custom option, with the gap between them as the deciding factor. Current rates are on the Loomly pricing page.

Plan Annual (per mo) Monthly Social accounts Users Approval White-label
Starter $49 $65 12 3 Basic No
Beyond $249 $332 60 Unlimited Custom roles Yes
Enterprise Custom Custom 61+ Unlimited Full Yes

The free trial runs 15 days with no card and is available on both published plans.

What Users Say

G2 reviewers rate Loomly 4.6 out of 5 across 1,793 reviews, and Capterra reviewers rate it 4.7 across 509. Pricing is the most-cited complaint in recent reviews, and limited analytics is second. Agencies that ran on the pre-acquisition mid-tier plans now choose between Starter and a five-fold jump to Beyond.

Read the full Loomly review for the complete assessment. Compare at PostMonk vs. Loomly, or see Loomly alternatives if the pricing gap rules it out.

Which Social Media Tool Should Your Agency Use?

Cloud Campaign is the pick for most agencies at 3.90 on agency fit. Approval and workspace isolation arrive at $49/mo instead of at $199 or $399. Sprout Social carries the highest global score at 3.9 out of 5 and is the right answer when clients pay for analytics depth. PostMonk is the only option that removes recurring cost entirely.

Agency situation Best pick Runner-up
Best overall agency fit Cloud Campaign Sprout Social
Enterprise clients demanding deep analytics Sprout Social Hootsuite
Client approval experience is the priority Planable Cloud Campaign
Cheapest approval plus white-label bundle SocialPilot Cloud Campaign
Removing recurring subscription cost PostMonk Buffer
High-volume comment and DM moderation Agorapulse Hootsuite
Evergreen content across many small clients SocialBee Loomly
Two-person agency starting out Buffer Loomly

The pattern across all 11 tools is consistent. Agency-grade capability is not scarce, but its price varies by a factor of nearly 50 across this list. The cheapest monthly route to both client approval and white-label reporting is SocialPilot Premium at $85/mo billed annually. The most expensive is Hootsuite Advanced at $399 per user per month, which reaches $14,364 per year for a three-person team.

If recurring cost is squeezing your margins, PostMonk removes it for a single $99 payment. That covers workspace isolation, a client approval portal, white-labeled PDF reports, a native MCP server, and a full REST API. It ranks fifth on agency fit, not first, and the honest reason is the absence of independent review evidence and social listening.

FAQs

What is the best social media management tool for agencies?

Cloud Campaign is the best social media management tool for agencies, scoring 3.90 out of 5 on our agency-fit methodology. It earns that rank by putting approval workflows on its $49/mo entry plan and giving every client a fully isolated workspace. Sprout Social and Planable are the strongest alternatives, and PostMonk is the pick for agencies avoiding recurring cost.

What does client approval workflow mean in social media management?

A client approval workflow lets an agency submit scheduled posts for review before they publish. Clients approve or reject individual posts, or a whole month’s calendar, without access to the agency’s main account. Workflows range from one-step approval to multi-step sequential review, where each named reviewer signs off in order. Cloud Campaign, Planable, and SocialPilot offer approval at accessible prices.

What is white-label social media management?

White-label social media management means the agency presents the tool’s reports or interface under its own brand. Clients see the agency’s logo, colours, and domain rather than the vendor’s. Cloud Campaign includes it from Team at $199/mo, SocialPilot from Premium at $85/mo annual, and Sendible as a paid add-on on Elite. Planable and Hootsuite reserve full white-label for enterprise agreements.

Is Hootsuite good for agencies?

Hootsuite suits large agencies with the budget to reach Advanced at $399/user/mo, which is where content approval lives. Standard and Professional, at $99 and $199 per user per month, carry no approval workflows at all. Hootsuite offers the deepest listening here through Talkwalker and 10 native networks. Smaller agencies get comparable agency function more cheaply from SocialPilot, Cloud Campaign, or PostMonk.

How much does social media management software cost for agencies?

Agency pricing runs from $49/mo for Cloud Campaign Freelancer to $399 per user per month for Hootsuite Advanced. Per-seat tools scale hardest: Sprout Social Standard at $199/seat/mo costs a five-person team $995/mo before any client work. SocialPilot Premium at $85/mo billed annually is the cheapest bundle of approval plus white-label. PostMonk charges $99 once, with no renewal.

Does Buffer work for agencies?

Yes, with a clear limitation. Buffer’s Team plan at $10 per channel per month includes approval workflows, unlimited users, and branded reports. The per-channel model scales cleanly with client count. The limitation is reporting: advanced analytics cover Facebook, Instagram, X, and LinkedIn Pages only. TikTok, YouTube, and Pinterest are publish-only, so agencies reporting on those networks need a second tool.

What is the difference between Sprout Social and Hootsuite for agencies?

Sprout Social gives approval workflows from Standard at $199/seat/mo, deeper analytics with sentiment tracking, and a 3.9 global score against Hootsuite’s 3.6. Hootsuite offers broader network coverage, Talkwalker listening on Enterprise, and approval only from Advanced at $399/user/mo. Sprout Social suits analytics-led agencies. Hootsuite suits regulated-industry clients needing SSO, audit logs, and compliance controls.

How do agencies manage social media for multiple clients?

Agencies use three mechanisms. First, workspace isolation, where each client has a sealed environment with its own calendar, analytics, and access controls. Second, role-based access, where editors draft and schedule while only managers and clients approve. Third, approval workflows, where the client signs off before anything publishes. Cloud Campaign, Planable, and Sendible are built around this pattern, and PostMonk supports it on the $99 Agency plan.

What social media tool do most agencies use?

Hootsuite has the largest review base at 7,803 G2 reviews and the strongest brand recognition, but it is not the best agency fit. Purpose-built multi-client tools such as Cloud Campaign, SocialPilot, and Sendible score higher on agency-specific criteria. Planable dominates client-approval discussions on Reddit and now leads Google’s AI Overview for agency software. Tool choice varies sharply by agency size.

Are there free social media management tools for agencies?

Buffer’s free plan covers 3 channels and 10 scheduled posts per channel with no time limit, and Planable’s free tier covers the first 50 posts. Neither includes approval workflows, so neither works as a client-facing agency setup. The closest thing to a no-subscription option is PostMonk at $99 one-time for the Agency plan. Our guide to lifetime-priced social media tools compares that model against subscriptions directly.
